The David DeYoe Memorial Tournament has been created with the support of the DeYoe family to honor a man whose spirit continues to light the lives of many in our club and community. David was passionate about playing and coaching the sport he loved: Soccer. He contributed his time, effort, and expertise to the development of San Ramon FC and the youth soccer community in the San Ramon Valley. San Ramon FC will host the DeYoe Memorial for boys and girls U9 through U19 age groups. The tournament is sanctioned by US Club Soccer and adheres to the new mandates of play adopted by USSF. We accept the following player passes: US Soccer (Norcal), USSF (CYSA-N), and AYSO.

San Ramon FC (SRFC) has established itself as one of the most recognized soccer clubs in Northern California. This is connected with our club philosophy that encourages all players to challenge themselves and enjoy the game regardless of division of play. This tournament will provide an ideal atmosphere for each player to succeed and compete at a higher level of play. Set in the rolling hills of the San Ramon Valley, the DeYoe Memorial will serve as a memorable event for teams looking for a fun tournament on some of the finest soccer fields and facilities available in the Bay Area.  The beautiful San Ramon area offers quality hotels, eating establishments, and recreational areas. There are enjoyable shopping areas and you are minutes away from the famed wine country, in Livermore or Napa, and San Francisco. 

The tournament features a logo designed to capture two of David DeYoe's passions: the great outdoors and the beautiful game of soccer. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and on the soccer field with friends and family. Like many parents, David was devoted to his family and his children and was a frequent presence on the soccer field watching matches on the weekends. With two sons who participated in youth soccer, David did not hesitate to dive in and lend a hand whenever and wherever it was needed. He touched so many lives dedicating his time as a volunteer coach, board member, board president, and supportive soccer parent. His off-the-field-activities tell the story of a caring man who was always looking to help. He volunteered with a suicide prevention hotline. He worked with autistic children. He cherished outdoor activities with his family and friends. 

Those fortunate enough to meet him gained a friend who was equally willing to kick a ball with you or chat about life. He was also quietly funny. On one occasion, while on the sidelines chatting with a fellow parent, David quipped that, “My son got a lot better once I stopped coaching him.”  David was always sharing a friendly greeting and a kind word, along with positive encouragement for youth players learning the game. The David DeYoe Memorial Tournament is San Ramon FC's way of honoring David for his many contributions in the community and to the sport of soccer in San Ramon.
