Submit A Board Nomination By September 21st

Get Involved and Help Define the Direction of San Ramon FC!

San Ramon FC (“SRFC”) is seeking nominations from our membership to join our Board of Directors for a two-year term. Having a soccer background is not a prerequisite. SRFC values having a board that has a cross-section and diversity of skills, backgrounds and expertise.

What Does A Board Member Do?

Our board members have in common a passion for their children, the community and youth soccer, as well as a desire to help raise the quality of SRFC and make it accessible to players of all ages and backgrounds. SRFC board members represent the membership, provide high-level strategic oversight, support the professional staff and ensure accountability to our membership.

The full Board of Directors generally meets once per month and the time commitment required is moderate The first meeting of the board will place prospective board members with continuing, current board members so that the new members can shadow the current members.  Board members must be able to commit to attending meetings and events at least twice a month.

Who Is Eligible?

Board candidates must be members (e.g., parent of player, adult player, coach, etc.) in good standing (with all fees paid current) of SRFC (see bylaws for more information) and accept the nomination (if made by someone else). An important requirement is that you have a desire to see the club continue to evolve, improve and thrive.

How Can I Nominate Myself Or Someone Else?

If you are interested in nominating yourself or someone else for a position on SRFC's Board of Directors, please contact the SRFC Nominating Committee at: nomcomm@sanramonfc.com.

Once your nomination is received, you will be provided additional information, including a Candidate Profile Statement. Nominations will be accepted until Wednesday September 21.

Electronic voting will commence no later than Friday, October 7th and continue through Monday, October 17th at 8pm. Members who prefer to vote in person may cast their ballot at the San Ramon FC Annual General Meeting on Thursday, October 20th beginning at 8pm.

What Happens After The Election?

Once the election is complete, the board-elect and returning board members will meet at an organizational meeting on the evening of October 26th in order to elect officers from among the returning and newly elected board members.

Between October 26th and December 31st, the board-elect will work with returning and outgoing board members, as well as staff, to oversee planning for 2017. On January 1, 2017, the newly elected board members’ two year term of office commences.
